hello hello
Two fun facts about me: I was born and raised in Williamsburg, Virginia (yes, the town with historical reenactments and carriage rides), and I was a high school choir kid through and through (District Chorus, All-Virginia, you name it!). And how exactly do these two facts relate to me as an actor? I’m glad you asked!
Growing up in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg, I quickly developed of love for telling stories from different periods in time. Finding ways to bring a modern audience into a world we’ve only read about in history books is a challenge I value dearly. In 2024, I moved to D.C. to receive my MFA in Classical Acting from the Shakespeare Theatre Company Academy and immersed myself in the world of classical texts.
For a year, I primarily studied the works of Shakespeare and other early playwrights and how to reimagine them in a way that is relevant today. Similarly, being a part of a choral group for many years nurtured my love for ensemble work and complex melodies. Choral music itself dates back in time, so I find large ensemble music to be another way to connect with stories from the past.
Whether big, grandiose musicals with intricate harmonies, or classical works with twists and turns for modern audiences, I love the opportunities and challenges that come with connecting stories from the past to our present.
